Running The Mission Editor

The 1.11 version of the Mission Editor is located in the Installation Path\Dawn of War\ root folder. To run it, use the start menu shortcut or create a new one pointing to the W40kME.exe file in the root directory.

Previous versions required you to set the location of the W40k.exe file – but this is now not the case. You can run the executable directly.

When the ME loads, there will first appear a Debug Screen, and after that (if there are no display errors) it will open up the mission editor window itself. If nothing appears, try using ALT + TAB to cycle through programs until it appears.

What does [supply the working folder with the “-wkdir” parameter] mean?
-- MizmoDot (2005-04-30 11:02:51)
I have put C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War\Mod Tools?\ME\W40kME.exe -wkdir «C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War\" in the Target section of the shortcut and it does not work...ME won't even start.

I even transfered the entire dawn of war install from drive C to drive D,setup the shortcut just the way you have it here and it still does not work.

I have DOW patched to V1.2 and my pc is a P4 3 Ghz with an Nvidia 128 mb 5200/512mb ram and running XP Pro.
